The Vaccine and the Mark of the Beast

My inbox overflows with the same question from dozens of readers – Is the vaccine the mark of the Beast?

Not long ago, I used this column to answer some of the more common questions I receive. The “Is the vaccine the mark” question was briefly addressed at that time; however, mail with the question increased. Therefore, I will use this column to give more detail.

The short answer – the COVID-19 vaccine is not the mark of the Beast. Taking the vaccine is not an automatic condemnation to spend eternity in hell. The opposite is also true – refusing the vaccination does not grant anyone eternal life. Heaven and hell will contain both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated.

Many readers’ concern evolves around those who are losing their jobs because of an unwillingness to receive the vaccine. When the Antichrist mandates the mark, anyone without the mark cannot buy or sell anything (Revelation 13:17). Some see the loss of an income as equivalent to the inability to buy or sell. However, at this point, those who do lose their jobs because of vaccine refusal are free to spend what money they have and seek other employment. The mark of Revelation will not be as tolerant. Being fired and having no ability whatsoever to buy or sell something are not the same. The vaccine, in this point, does not meet the criteria for the mark.

The most significant reason the vaccine is not the mark is the time in history we live.

The mark of the Beast comes during the Tribulation Period. It would be easy to argue that we are in full speed ahead mode toward the Tribulation. Still, the truth is the Tribulation Period has not yet started. Just as a quarterback cannot throw an interception before the start of the game, we cannot have a mark until after the Tribulation begins.

The Tribulation begins when the Antichrist signs a seven-year covenant with many (Daniel 9:27). The same verse describes that in the middle of those seven years, the Antichrist will overspread abominations around the globe. Even Jesus comments on this “abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet” in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14.

Every indication is that the mark is part of the abominations of the Antichrist orchestrates. These occur “in the midst” of the Tribulation. As of today, the covenant does not exist, let alone signed; the Antichrist does not rule the world. There is no possible way the vaccine is the mark.

Still, some will argue that we are in the Tribulation. The thought is that the signing of the covenant was not a huge news event, and it happened without the world populace noticing. Even if the start of the Tribulation goes unnoticed, there is another way we can see if we are in the Tribulation – the twenty-one judgments.

About every time a meteor falls, I receive emails telling me the fifth trumpet just sounded. Yes, the fifth trumpet does include “a star fall from heaven unto the earth.” Meteors fall to earth every day. Most are small and go unnoticed. Some are bright lights, cause sonic booms, and raise some excitement, but none of these is the fifth trumpet. What about the rest of the fifth trumpet? Where is the locust with stings like scorpions that torment every person on the planet except the saved (Revelation 9:1-12)? By the way, the scorpion/locust is only one of several effects of the fifth trumpet, but I figured that was enough to make the point.

I am trying to illustrate that there is a lot of stuff out there announcing we are in the Tribulation by declaring a specific judgment just came to pass.

The twenty-one judgments (seven each of the seals, trumpets, and vials) come in chronological order in the book of Revelation. They are in sequence. We cannot grab an event and claim it is a judgment of Revelation unless the full judgment comes, and it falls in line with the rest of the judgments.

How do we know they are in sequence?

Proof the judgments come in sequence is that the Bible tells us they do.

Inside the sixth seal are the seven trumpets (Revelation 8:1-6). Therefore, the trumpets come after the seals. The Scriptures announced the vials as the “seven last plagues” (Revelation 15:1). Seals, trumpets, vials, in that order, and since God is not a God of confusion, the first seal is first, the second seal is second, and so on (1 Corinthians 14:33).

The first seal, Revelation 6:1-2, is the rise of the Antichrist, aka the Beast.

To recap:

  1. The covenant is yet to be signed; therefore, the Tribulation has not started.
  2. The mark does not come until “the midst;” sometime in the middle of the Tribulation.
  3. Anyone without the mark loses the ability to buy or sell immediately.
  4. The mark of the Beast comes when the Beast (the Antichrist) rules the world.

As you can see, none of the four criteria mentioned are in place.

Nothing out there today is the mark of the Beast. Not the vaccine or some computer chip that a factory mandates on its employees. The world’s populace will know precisely the choice they are making when receiving the Beast’s mark. We will leave that explanation for another day.

  1. Thank you Preacher for holding this light. The vaccine is not the mark of the beast, although it is apparently directly tied to the system of the mark of the beast.

Prophecy was given for us to see Jesus Christ, to see God, to hear from Him, to know Him, to understand for those who will understand. In the olden days, prophecy pointed towards Jesus Christ’s Day, for the thirty-three-and-a-half years He walked upon this Earth. That same old prophecy today points towards Jesus Christ’s Day, when He will reveal Himself again, for the whole world to see, and there will be no doubting in that moment that He is the Son of God, that Jesus Christ is Lord, and in that Day, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

What was given back then would cause us to say the mark of the beast is 666. The Word says,

    ..

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
    Revelation 13.15-18

    ..

The mark of the beast is today a numeric identifier to give every person a unique identifying “mark” in the giant global catalogue which has been built. God is jealous and does not want us to give our power or our ownership over to man.

In its current form, the mark of the beast is the RFID chip that gets implanted in the right hand or forehead.

The beast has an image, a mark, a number and a name, and sorceries. The QR code is the image. WWW is the name and the number.

  2. (oops I said, “What was given back then would cause us to say the mark of the beast is 666.” .. should have said, “What was given back then would cause us to say the *number* of the beast is 666.”

  3. Dear Sir, thank you for replying however, I no longer have the exact question. Reference the fig tree…In prayer I always have quiet time to listen. A couple years ago it was all about the fig tree. The leaves are green but the roots are barren…find peace at the fig tree. I searched and prayed as my life has been in torment. As time went by there were 2 more instances about the fig tree. I put it aside than this past Easter , there it was in the movie Ten Commandments ( I have seen probably 50 times and never noticed) . A few months later as always I ask the Holy Spirit before I open my Bible, Oh Holy Spirit Speak To Me Your Word ..with closed eyes I open the Bible, point my finger and that is my scripture for the day. It was scripture about the fig tree. 2 days later I received a email from a friend from years ago whom I lost touch with. He has become a pastor, I sit and listen to what he sent…It’s about the rapture and the fig tree. Another few days pass, as I listen to a sermon on the radio.. yes, the fig tree. I carry it with me constantly. What is Christ telling me?? I know it is important, I feel Him tapping on my shoulder. I am in no way a scholar, my life has been stripped of pretty much everything, late diagnosis of lupus and losing mobility, , depression and living in a garage as I lost my home. I constantly talk to the Holy Spirit

    • Really bad response to that question Mr. Preacher Man. People depend on your advice. When did you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Im not talking about getting dunked under water, I’m talking about receiving the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This is how you hear from God through Jesus personally and can know what truth really is. Nobody should take that poison without first asking Jesus because we’re talking about life and death, here and eternally. A person who calls themself a Christian, most especially a preacher has no excuse to not enquire of the Lord personally. Do you even watch the signs we’re told emphatically to pay attention to? We are truly at the door of the apocalypse and the Beast system is being set up before your very eyes. That poison shot is part of the system. Repent of your extremely bad advice and ask Jesus to send you the power of the holy spirit. Jesus said you’re either for me, or against me. Stop being against Him.

      • Nope. Just nope. You are dogmatically just incorrect. Nope again.
….Ephesians 2:8-9 – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast.

    • Are you aware that one interpretation of the fig tree prophecy is that the fig tree is Israel and the shoots of the branches and the summer season is the establishment of the Israeli nation and the return of israelites to their homeland in the year 1948? Setting a countdown of a biblical generation, “the generation that shall not pass until all these things have happened”, in any event 80yrs is up in 2028 so that’s your very latest date if you are to accept this interpretation of the prophecy. Google fig tree prophecy/generation that shall not pass for better explanations

      • I am familiar with and have written about the fig tree/Israel but the Biblical definition of a generation is not 80 years.
When Israel refused to enter the promised land God told them they could not enter until everyone 20 years old or older on the day they refused to enter the land died. In other words, that generation had to pass.
I believe the same definition for a generation still applies. One other thing. Christ refers to the branches He mentions two events, the branch being tender and the branch putting forth leaves. Matthew 24:32 KJV — Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
Being tender is 1948 when the nation is born, the putting forth leaves refers to a more mature tree. Probably when they retook the Temple Mount in 1967.
So using the promised land definition of a generation, if God is using the rebirth date, as long as anyone born before May 14, 1928 is still alive (20 years+ on the day it happened) the generation has not passed. If God is using the date for regaining the Temple Mount, now we’re looking at June 7, 1967 as the start date of the generation that will see all pass (born June 7, 1947 or before).
Using Psalm 90:10 for the length of a generation doesn’t fit because it is speaking of an average life span. Some people live much longer, some die much sooner.
Using the definition God used when punishing Israel in the past seems more plausible with the fig tree prophecy because Jesus is talking about the passing of a generation. The same measurement, the passing of a generation is used in both instances.

  4. Thank you for your article.

I do have a question. When you talk about the Fifth Trumpet in particular the locus with the power to sting like scorpions.

There has been some suggestions that this may relate to the current covid vaccines after Biden & Fauci where talking in August this year of boosters being required every 5 months. With 856,919 (figures to mid October) adverse affects in the US alone in conjunction which the significant death forecasts over the next several years in “our world in data”

Would this not suggest the power to torment people for a period and perhaps lead into the mass deaths that are prophesied in the sixth trumpet?

This is a genuine question. Many thanks for your time.

    God bless

  5. It is best to judge by the fruits .I can not see anything from God in this vaccine for what is the fruits from it I see division hate separation .
It doesn’t matter what we think if it is or not the mark that does not change what it is it is what God does what matters.Repent and follow Christ God will show you the way
