Christian, does it ever seem that the Christian life does not live up to the hype? Is the joy and peace being a Christian should bring beginning to look like something we experience in heaven instead of something attainable during this life? If this seems to be the case, please read on. In agriculture, if … Continue reading Fruit

Why Christmas?
Have you ever been around one of those children that are constantly asking, "Why?" "Why is the sky blue?" "Why are some people mean?" "Why don't snails have legs?" "Why can't I eat ice cream before dinner?" Everyone knows the kid I am talking about. I was one of those children. We are in the … Continue reading Why Christmas?
Where Have All The Fishers Gone?
My father-in-law was an avid fisherman. It was not uncommon to find him gutting and scaling dozens of fish in the backyard. He chose to retire near a river known for excellent fishing. My father-in-law took me fishing on several occasions, but I never caught a fish. Here is this man who usually comes home … Continue reading Where Have All The Fishers Gone?
Our Love For God
"I love Jesus!" is a statement often uttered, but is it true? To answer that question, I reckon the first thing to do is to define love. What is love? The Bible gives us the definition of love in its most famous verse, John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave..." Love … Continue reading Our Love For God
Shake, Rattle, and Roll
Last Thursday, Indiana experienced an earthquake. I have lived in Indiana for almost forty years, and this is only the second earth shaking I have felt here. Decades ago, I lived in California for three years and experienced multiple quakes, including one measuring 6.1. The shakeup Thursday was only a 3.8, but the epicenter was … Continue reading Shake, Rattle, and Roll
Is Psalm 83 Near?
The Bible is full of prophecy, much of it, still unfulfilled. The most talked-about future events in the Bible are the rapture, the tribulation period, and the second coming of Christ. The signs of the second coming are also a hot topic of discussion. Yet, there is one prophecy that rarely gets noticed - the … Continue reading Is Psalm 83 Near?
Heart, Mind, And Soul.
Jesus had a way of having the last word. A good example is when the scribes and Pharisees brought to Jesus the woman "taken in adultery." After He said, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her" (John 8:7), all the woman's accusers left. There was nothing more … Continue reading Heart, Mind, And Soul.
Disappointment, Depression And Deliverance
Whoever said, "Life is not a bed a roses" was one-hundred percent wrong. Life is exactly like a bed of roses. Sometimes, life is beautiful, soft, and full of fragrance. At other times, life is itchy stems and painful thorns. Like roses, we try only to allow people to see the beautiful petals above the … Continue reading Disappointment, Depression And Deliverance
Timeline Of The Mark
There may be an underlining thought out there that we are nearing the time when the Antichrist will cause everyone to receive a mark to buy or sell. I bring this up because I usually receive emails asking about something I have recently written. However, I have received multiple emails about this topic in the … Continue reading Timeline Of The Mark
There Is Nothing
Elijah, the great prophet of the Old Testament, is an unknown when he comes on the scene. The first time we read of him, he tells king Ahab that it will not rain unless he (Elijah) says so (1 Kings 17:1). The Bible does not speak of Ahab's reaction. I reckon that is because Ahab … Continue reading There Is Nothing
